Full Roll Bar Template

F5R 7005Rd is complete! I should complete as far as the road is concerned. Now that I have the fever, I want to start some Auto-X and some track time. The problem is that having only a single roll bar I will be unable to have a passenger in the car with me during track instruction.

Now for the question. Is there a template that can be laid over the existing DS hole locations to give me the dim. (layout) of the PS roll bar (of which I will only use 2 holes since I plan on installing a full roll bar)?

Hi Ralph,

There's not really a specific template, except for the jig that we use here (which fits over the mount and transfers the mark to the body). My best suggestion is to wrap a piece of paper around the mount or use a short piece of angle iron as a straightedge to project the tube diameter on the underside of the body and mark it. Then, you can drill a pilot hole upward in the center of the marking and afterward drill with a hole saw downward from the outside of the car using the pilot hole.

Measure twice, cut once!!
