Lemans Hardtop

So I've cut and drilled a Lexan rear window for a Lemans hardtop for my roadster. I have been using an acrylic rear window for fit testing and as a template for the new polycarbonate glass. I want to paint a black edge around the window. Can any forum members offer advice or lessons learned??
