Last weekend we put the cobra into the Portland Roadster show. I spent the previous weekend detailing the car. We have the underside of the car all painted and clear coated and spending a whole day on my back with the car on jackstands is a pretty tiring day. The next day was strictly waxing and detailing the interior. I have always been one of those guys that likes to keep my car clean but not so clean that I don't want to drive it. Getting the car to this level of detail was definitely the so clean I didn't want to drive it to the show type of clean. I did get the great experience of looking up while I was waxing the cobra to see my three and a half year old waxing HER MGB.

I was lucky enough to borrow a enclosed 24' car hauler to get the car to the show in. This being Oregon you never know when its going to rain and I didn't want to take any chances. My dad came up from Eugene for the day to help me out. We decided to buy a bunch of anti fatigue mats to use under the car as opposed to carpet. We wanted to give the display a nice look at I can reuse the mats in the garage. We had a show sign and poster made up for the show as well. Since the underside of the car is detailed I borrowed a bunch of mirrors from my dad to put under the car.

Overall the show was a great experience. They had over 400 cars entered into the show and some of them just blew me away. My parents came up from Eugene on Saturday afternoon and when we arrived at the show the parking lot was completely full and they were having to shuttle people in. I had one of the proud father son when we bumped into some family friends we haven't seen in a while. When they asked my dad what car he put in the show he proudly showed off his son's car that we put in the show. The show was a lot of fun and I am glad we put the car in this year. Now that the show is over we are putting a clear bra on the car and driving the heck out of it this summer.

Beautiful presentation of a beautiful car! I especially like the shot of your helper waxing HER MGB and the "Home Brewed" sign. Great job building it and showing it.

Looks beautiful.

Can I ask what you cleaned your wheels with? They sparkle like diamonds! (I'm afraid to use any chemicals on mine.)

The car looks great. Well done on the detailing ... and the presentation at the car show is excellent, also.
