I couldn't take it any longer........seeing my car on the lift with those somewhat dirty used control arms with the stock rubber bushings. On the KONI car I replaced them with the Poly bushings and I can't help but think they were part of the crisp handling that that GTM had. So last night I pulled them off. Then today drivng in the snow storm, in my 2 wheel drive dodge, practicing all of my "drifting" techniques I took them to Steve's and used his media blaster and then removed all teh ball joints and rubber bushings. Then I dropped them off to my powdercoater for a coating of metallic silver and then I will install the poly bushing when they arrive on 4/4. It's wild the way something will just eat away at you knowing I would regret it later on.

Proud of you man :-) Them were some ugly looking excuses for GTM worthy parts.

Hi Gary,

Did you replace the ball joints? If so, how hard were they to remove?

I have a set of Pfadt poly-bushings as well, but with so many things that I've had to re-work, I just can't seem to bring myself to tear the suspension back apart in order to replace them... If I were to just get outside and do it, it would be 1 weekend of work; if that. But I have this thing in my head about undoing anything unless it's absolutely necessary. I just want to finish the car so I can drive it, and actually call it DONE.

But I agree with you, if you decide to go down that road, you might as well send the arms out and have them powder coated also. I currious to know if the powder coating makes the slots, where the bushings are inserted, too tight?

Still coming down tomorrow?
