Just looked at the 2013 Show & Event Schedule on the Factory Five web site and noticed that there is not a listing for the Carlisle Import & Kit Nationals show.
Is Factory Five going to by pass this show this year:confused:
Got used to saying hi to the crew, going to miss that if they are a no go :(

I almost always attend. I enjoy seeing FF5 represented and I think it would be a shame if they skip it this year.

Hey guys its not 100% sure right now but i do not think we are going to attend this year. We decided to tread into some areas we have not visited in quite some time IE Texas, we are doing the Hot Rod Power Tour this year which travels through a lot of states, and a lot of local events like the Bass-Pro car-shows at Gillette Stadium.

Without consistancy.....showes weekness. IMHO, even if F5R sets up a few local customers to carry the batton it would certainly keep the rumor mill in its place.

Well said. Good Idea to have at least some local builders be there to carry the banner and to talk up FFR
When RCR was a no show at Carlisle last year, it gave me, and others that I talked to, the impression that the economy took out, or damage another small business. I'm Glad to see that they are still going, but it's not the right type of rumor that you really want to get started.

I agree, I went to Carlisle last year and seeing the FFR folks and cars are what sealed the deal for me going with them.

I feel that it would be a big PR mistake not to attend Carlisle this year. Factory Five has become the largest display there and the focal point of most of the potential customer/ customer traffic. Unless FF5 is trying to send a "message" to Carlisle for some reason, I'd encourage then to attend. I remember my first introduction to FF5 in person was they're first year at Carlisle when Mike Mack of Tri-States Motors represented the company.

I agree with you guy 100%! Factory Five used to support the AHA Show out here on the west coast in full force until a few years ago. The AHA show was the show that gave the most exposure to FFR for quite a few years out here. When they backed off and cut back to a single manned tent, the show declined tremendously. This year I have heard that FFR will not be supporting the show in any capacity. I see FFR's side in that they need to spend advertizing dollars wisely. But when they cut back and damage the ones that got them there, I have to share my disappointment. The California Cruise-In is a cool event, but it is nothing more than a glorified beach party for the SoCal FFR owners, that we pay for ourselves. I think you guy's ought to have FFR representation at Carlisle, just as I believe FFR should be supporting the AHA.

That's a bummer my daughter and I were thinking of going to one more Carlisle show this year, we attend spring, fall, ford nationals, corvette carlisle and were trying to pick import kit car or performance and style. Would really like to see another 33 up close.

Hi guys - we've made some small changes to our schedule and will be attending Carlisle after all. There's room in our booth for a couple of customer builds (need a Mk4 Roadster and a '33 Hot Rod), so if you're interested in being a part of the show, please email me at jason.lavigne@factoryfive.com.
See you there!

Jason,
Do you by any chance need a coupe at Carlisle? I might be able to make that one ... BTW, Peter Brock is the Grand Marshal this year.

Jason, I am sure Mark D will see this, but his shop in Annville is just a stones throw away. He might have a customers car they could get to the show for you. Mine's a MKIII or I would offer to bring it out with me.
