I wanted to share a quick update about the virtual garage program. The program just turned a year old last month. And it has been used by way more users then I ever expected! Thank you for helping to make this program a success.

Awhile back we added the Coyote mount options to the program as well as some other smaller maintenance/updates to the program. One of the new cool features is our photo album. When you take a photo, it automatically saves it to the photo album. Beyond just viewing the images in the album, you can also open that car in the virtual garage. It will auto load the to the completed build. And, you have the ability to make tweaks to any of the parts or paint to make it your own. Below I wanted to show case a few amazing shots taken by regular users!

Thanks for making this! I've done quite a bit of 3D modeling myself, and had worked up a frame based off of a plastic model I bought over 10 years ago. I had worked on a body several times over the years and came up with something not quite passable. Your work on this app is fantastic. My personal dream is the one dated 13/01/26 in the album, "Blue on Black." I used the app to show my vision to my friends and family, including a detailed explanation of why the shorty headers have to face forward with the J-pipes. They just didn't realize how far back the engine sat in these cars and this was the perfect tool to show them. I have just over a month to wait for my kit to be delivered. It's going to be a tough a month...

Thanks again,

Kyle

Thank you for sharing your experience with us. We added features like "Hide car body" just so people could can move around the car without the body to get a general idea of everything fits inside of this car. Glad to see the little features help.

If you see a car you like in the album. You can open it up and take more photos of it. I found your car listed on 13/01/26 (http://factoryfive.com/interactive/mk4-roadster/showAlbum.php?album=13/0127/e68e35). It's a great looking car. I even took a few more photos of it. By doing that, it will add the photos to that album. You can tweak it change it, even save your own version of it. We gave users several ways to use the program, and we let them decided whatever "best way" works for them.

On this one, I added some ghost shadows.

Wow, really nice work! I've always wanted to try and machine a cobra model with my Tormach and the 4th axis I made for it.

Are you a professional, or do do this as a hobby?

Thank you. Yes, I create games and 3D programs. And I like to take my love for cars and 3D and mix them togeather. It's been a fun ride so far also doing work for some NASCAR teams and most recent, ESPN.

Here is a little tease we just uploaded:

Very cool program. It's come a long way since the first beta.

Would be really cool to be able to design a dash layout with different sized gauges and see what that would look like in the car.

FFR only offers a street layout, but a lot of guys change to a competition or custom gauge layout.

Oh my....

I can't wait to get that. I have a great Android phone that is just begging me to download it. Is it available in the Play store?

why did they take this off the ffr website?
I noticed it was missing too, I contacted them and they said that they didn't restore it after they had a large website hack. I still have the original beta program backed up on my website and you are welcome to use it (I should upload the latest build). But for now this program works just like the original one, but this version has a cost estimator included (2013 prices;)) Hope this helps!
