View Full Version : Heading for a job interview next Thursday
After 5+ years of retirement I've decided to find something to fill some of the hours in the day. The San Diego Zoo is looking for some part-time/on-call security people so I applied. Just got called and have an interview on Thursday. We have a goal in mind and if I get the job, the funds will help with our garage/shop build and get me out from underfoot at home (at least occasionally.)

What a cool place to work! When I was stationed at Edwards AFB, we would often drive patient's down to the naval hospital for one reason or another. That's right across the street from the zoo. If you were in uniform, you could get in for $0.50. We used to fight over who got to take those trips.

Good luck with the interview. And remember, perhaps one of the cool things if you do get the job is when people ask how your job is, you can say the place is a real zoo! And really mean it!!
