I have seen some really nice front and rear tow hooks and I am wondering if anyone has a set to sell or they know who made them? Scott has a set on his coupe... But he put those bolts on real tight making them hard to steal.

Is that why the door to my shop was open when I got home?

If you want to come by and make a template you are welcome to.

Scott's tow hooks are awesome. I love the way the front one is offset and tucked away, but still fully functional. We made the ones we're using on the Warrior Princess, and funny enough, I actuallly got to use them on the Friday before Cal Speedway due to some fuel issues.....They worked great! If I had it to do again though, I think I'd go Tom Coon's route, and use the Factory Five versions they developed for the Challenge Cars......Will get an up close look at the install when I'm over at his house this weekend. :)

I expected more posts on this one...

Here is what I did...

I made my front tow hook removable and I also added front and back Tie Down "hooks". The tie downs sit a little more out and down and do not interfere with the rad shroud aluminum.

If you go to eBay and search on "Racing Tow Hook" it'll kick out over a 1,000 possibilities.
Granted, many are duplicates, but you should have lots of material to generate ideas.

Your solution is elegant and very much in the vein of the coupe's racing heritage.
It looks like you did a great job of welding it into the front x-frame.
Did you have to cut the x-frame in half, top to bottom, to do that?

Not at all. I cut it like a "C" or a hook and welded it around right in the center of the X. When the hook is off, I use the plate as a bracket to stabilize the large center piece of the rad shroud.

I made these mods after my first flat bed tow to the body shop. I found it difficult to get it on the trailer without putting the body or rad shroud at risk of damage. When I trailered it for the first time I wasn't happy with the options for tie-down so I welded brackets in the front and rear. Works great!
