When the 33HR finally gets a revision aka MKII I would love to see the ball joints come bolted in instead of welded. That way the powdercoat/chrome issues would be solved and the ball joints would be serviceable. Looks like over 500 have been sold so it is a popular product.
When will Factory Five consider a MKII revision for the 33?

Hey guys, we currently are buttoning up the 818 and after that we do not really know what we will be working on. Thank you for the idea!

Just got my 33HR kit two weeks ago. Working on front suspension. The ball joint dust covers on lower front seem to be too small to fit over the shoulder of the ball joint mount. I'm afraid I'll tear them if I force it. But if they just sit on top, then when the spindle is install, the dust cover squishes up and slides off to the side. Any guidance? Thanks. Hi TigerBill - that just might be an upper ball joint boot. Can you give an ID measurement? Did your upper boots happen to fit loosely? I'll watch for your reply...
To elaborate on myjones' post that started the thread - not really sure whether there would be a full generation change on the '33. We've been making changes and improvements continuously over the life of the kit so far, and while we'll continue to make improvements going forward, there isn't anything major on the horizon at this point.
Thanks,
Jason @ FFR

My kit has the same problem with the dust boot Jason. The upper fits great and the lower will not fit over the shoulder of the ball joint. Any help would be great because as of right now it will allow the grease to escape.

I squirted some WD-40 on the inside of the lower ball joint boot and by twisting & pushing at the same time, I was able to get it to go down over the shoulder, and it stayed there while I put the spindles on and greased the ball joint. Hope this helps.

I ended up changing all of my ball joints out for early Mustang type joints.
It was a lot of work but worth it to me.
