I will be ordering my kit is a few weeks.
Can anyone fill me in on the procedure for licensing and titling it in the state of IL?

I cant speak for your state, but generally...
-There is a vin creation or they use your chassis number. Highway patrol does this or DMV
-Brake inspection by approved shop.
-Many trips to the DMV.
Its probably going to be a headache and take a few trips. But its certainly nothing to be worried about. Go to your local DMV site and look up special construction or kit car. There should be a decent amount of info there.
