...another bracket?

I have either a very late MK-I or an early MK-II and when I assembled the rear suspension I put it together as per the build manual instructions. I now see that there is a different bracket for the bottom of the coil over.

Attached are two photos, the one with the Pro-Shock is my current set-up and the Koni shock has the newer bracket that I am seeing. If I need the new bracket/spacers etc. can you tell me the cost?

Thanks,

Ray

Ray:

My setup is like pic #2. I would be afraid of the set-up in pic #1, because of the stress that the shock puts on the bolt. But you've been running a while like that, so what do I know.

Ahaa Ray! I take it you found my comments elsewhere advising that the coilovers should be mounted in double rather than single shear ;)

The traction lok set is SKU#15237 and it costs $180.

Brian, was this something that was or should have been included with the kit or was it an option? Also, can you tell me what is included with the set?

Thanks,

The traction lok bracket design has changed since your car was made. The set includes the powder coated brackets. The hardware can be re-used or replaced.
