Hey Guys / Gals my names Todd I live in Rock Hill SC. I'm new to the forum. Not yet a FFR owner but I'm doing my research before I jump in to a kit. I'm really interested in the MK4 the Cobra has always been a dream car of mine. And I'm at the point in my life I know I can afford one. So please bare with me on this site if I ask any questions and come off as a noobe.

Welcome to the forum! Find your local Cobra Club and join in. They will be a wealth of information and help. You will see tons of things to help empty your wallet.
Welcome. We were all new builders once. I don't think that you'll find a better group of people than you'll find here. Find someone near you that is currently building and see if they'll let you stop by (maybe even get your hands a little dirty!) Don't be afraid to ask questions, use the private message button if you want and most of all, have fun.

Welcome Noob!
It's overwhelming at first, but you will absorb it over time and form your own opinions as to what you personally like and don't like.
Decide what your goals are with your build and formulate your plan, taking into consideration what works together.
For example, if your want to build a very period-correct car, then a modular motor w/EFI and 17" wheels are probably not consistent. But, If you want to build a track car, you probably want to include 17" wheels and big brakes.
I kept a notebook and jotted stuff down all the time, eventually incorporating my notes into my Build Plan, and even then, still making revisions and corrections as I learned more or saw something I liked.
You're more than welcome to use my Build Plan as a starter to make it your own.
MPTech build plan revision 9 and counting (http://www.ffcars.com/forums/17-factory-five-roadsters/264052-mptech-build-plan-revision-9-counting.html)
I saved and worked on my plan for 2 years before ordering. I've been building for almost 2 years and going to the DMV to start my registration process next week. Can't wait!.
Here's where it currently stands, so close I can almost taste it.
