Like you, I am dying to see my 818 arrive. I needed a project to keep me busy, so I decided to build a scale formula one car (why not). Think of it as a golf cart, but looks like the 1976 Tyrell P34 six-wheeler, 3/5 scale and driveable. Building it from scratch to keep my mind occupied.

What are you working on? Cleaning out the garage and tearing down the donor car do not count!!

Cleaning the basement. :D (you didn't say no basements ;) )

Now: Machining parts for a friends F500 that we're taking to nationals in Lincoln (car won nationals last 2 years in a row, we're making it faster)
When it gets warm: finishing my pergola/patio
When those are done: Finishing the basement and upgrading my F440 to an F500 (getting the motor today! :D )

I've been refinishing a rifle in my spare time, Prepping parts for the 818 and getting my tools (re)sorted out. I noticed a few of my wrenches are missing, so it will be a hunt to track them down.

More mundane projects include crown molding in the living room, replacing the bathtub, fixing my hurricane damaged shed, trying to make my lawn look nicer than the neighbors, and getting the room ready for the baby coming in May.

A new garage door is in the works too.

I'm finishing restoring my 1972 911T numbers matching "Craiglist Special" to Original specs- It's about to goto the paint shop. Knowing the 818R is coming in Dec is speeding up my progress. This is an older picture, I welded up a body cart. The whole suspension is off now and stripped. I need room in the garage!

I wonder when they will release the Coupe. If they do before December, I hope they let me change out my order. I feel much safer racing a coupe.

I need to finish my 69 Saab Sonett

And rebuild one of my three 1975 RD350s

And get my third Miata back on the road for my son who is working at his first co-op at Alkermes in Waltham

My house is 28 years old (I built it) and the work never ends!

That Saab is so fresh... after the 818 I'm going to pick up a Datsun 240 and put Godzilla under the hood. That or build a hellaflush 64 Continental.

I need to dismantle the crates my AJW donor palette came in; Pull the intake manifold of the engine and bring it to Grimmspeed for porting/polishing. Clean (and paint as appropriate) engine and transmission parts, peripherals, and suspension components.

I also need to insulate my garage and install a heat source so I can work on the car next winter (delivery of kit targeted for October).

And (Sorry, Red Tag) -- Job Number One WILL be cleaning out the garage. It's a major undertaking, and currently a godawful mess....! :p

I've turned into a forum junkie - here and others about FFR and Subarus. I need a project! I'm hoping for a crate from AJW to stop the madness.

For me I am finishing the final touches to my race car (read donor) impreza coupe. 400HP is my aim and that will be pretty ropey in the 818! I still have to confirm some local law/importing issues to make this a reality for me however.

1973 442 resto and then a70' rally sport Camaro.

In 1977 I had a '70 rally sport Camaro (split bumper with round turn signals) I was building from the ground up, was putting an LT1 based on a 302 block, 202 heads, Doug Nash 4+1 tranny, 12 bolt rearend, put a firebird dash in all with stewart warner gauges, custom headliner console, rear self deck (cut out the rear to make the rear area interior go all the way thru to trunk, no back seats, had a deck with storage area under. Tons of other stuff. Unfortunately I never finished the car, when the big recession hit back then it really killed that project. After I took all the car a part, mostly keeping the front since finding a rally sport front was even hard back then. When the people who picked up what was left of the camaro as it was being towed away I cried like a baby, that camaro was my baby.

It was going to be painted in a deep ebony black with side pipes cragar SS wheels with fenders flares, rear & front spoilers. Hard to believe I only spent $1300 when I bought it, can't even touch a decent one for that now.

My sons Audi S4 thru a rod, the result was ugly. He's found a replacement and will be rebuilding it. I'll help when asked. I promised my better half to build a studio in the basement, and the deck out back has to be repaired/replaced.
