Roadster showed up today, very impressed with the finish of the body, packaging of the parts, and the great attitude and effort of Bob from Stewart transportation, it makes a big difference when the guy delivering your car is a car guy and gets it. Can't wait to get started!!!

I'm going to pull my hair out! I ordered mine Black Friday and pushed shipping to late April for my birthday. Every one I hear about or see pictures of delivered drives me nuts with anticipation. I think I'm about 9 weeks out at this point.

Congrats on yours!

or see pictures of delivered

Couldn't have said it better myself. Where's the pics Fuel AN? ;)

We need some PROOF! Around here it's "no pics, didn't happen". Rule number one of posting on the FFR forum! LOL

Congrats, and give us more details! Base or complete? Options? Engine plans? Where are you located (helps others determine if they can come help you when you throw out the expected "anyone know how to XXX" post.

Congrats Fuel!!!

I am excited for you, and I know you must be reeling with anticipation and anxiousness. I know I would be thinking "the heck with the inventory, let's start building!!"

I wish you luck with your build, and look forward to seeing some pictures!!

Steve

Fuel an.....be sure to photo document your build. It makes a great album later when you finished. Take more photo's than less, starting with the ones posed here. Good building and good luck.

Hi Fuel an,

Not often the Cobra gets upstaged like that! Enjoy your build. Thanks for the pics, WEK.

Thanks guys. I was asked about the build. We are going with the Coyote 5.0, TKO500, 8.8 moser 3 link, upgraded 6 piston Wilwoods, 17 inch wheel set, toyo R888s, I am sure I am forgetting something, but so far that is the plan.

Yeah, the roommate is a machine. Few cars I have driven accelerate from 120 mph to 185 mph like the GT, it sits down in the slip stream and just goes, never has that feeling of fighting that wind Jeanie that starts holding back other cars above 150. I am looking forward to the feeling and sound of the Roadster and the power to weight ratio.

Glad to see that another MK4 will someday join the ranks among the many other Factory Fives. Let us know if you ever have any questions during the build!

Thanks

Nice! And congrats. I'm working on my second. Love the planning and build process. Driving is not so bad either.

Get some cushions on those jack stands. They will do a number on your nice powder coated frame. Maybe not so much now, but as you add parts, move it around, etc.

Oh sure, now show the GT! I remember speaking with you guys at our open house in Tampa! Congrats again. Oh, and by the looks of it you're not going to get much work out of your son with that TV on! Better unplug it! ;-)

TV only gets speed channel and auto races, the Daytona 500 was on. Thanks for the tip on the jack stand cushions, any recommendation on what works best, towel, rug bit, foam?

I used these. http://www.summitracing.com/search/part-type/jack-stand-accessories?keyword=prothane

HF has some that are cheaper, but didn't fit my jackstands as well. Could use a piece of carpet or whatever, I guess, but I'm not sure how safe that would be.

What vin # did you end up with?

Fuel an

Not sure yet, I spoke to Joe the other day and he said the certificate or origin would be coming any day now.

What vin # did you end up with?

The actual VIN will vary from state to state, depending on their specific VIN and title process. But the FFR chassis number -- same as what will be listed on the Certificate of Origin and ID plate from FFR -- is engraved on the face of the 2 inch tube just to the left of the steering column. Right about where your left knee would be sitting in the car. Just looked, and interestingly it's not listed on the packing slips. At least not on my Mk4.

Guessing the last four numbers are what everyone puts down? Mine I guess is #8008.

I made a 9000 kilometre round trip from Alberta Canada to pick up my kit. What an experience. If the time comes in my future when I need help from the little blue pill, all I'll have to do is pull out the pictures of picking up the MkIV at FFR.
