I have the Vintage Air AC upgrade. I have been fussing with this for a week now so I have given up and need help from someone who has done this. I put the radiator assembly together as instructed by the Vintage Air manual. It even points out that the hood mounts are to be installed opposite of the FFR instructions. I cannot get the assembly tilted enough to clear the bolts at the lower control arm assembly that sits out front. The Bracket withe 5 in it tilts back to the point where it hits the hood bracket and will not allow it to tilt the radiator any further1564015641. Any ideas? Pictures would help too.

FFR has its own directions for the 33 A/C. Send me your email in a PM and I will email the FFR 33 A/C instructions to you. I don't know if that will fix your problem or not. I have not mounted my grill assembly on the chassis yet.

I am not sure If this is the same problem you are having but I had to modify the brackets to make them fit.

How much did you have to modify?

Mike, I mounted my radiator assembly to check if I had the same issue. My fit fine. I don't know if my pictures will help but here they are. I used the large washer on the inside if the rad mount. This gave me more room to the front. It is close but I have a 1/4" gap top and bottom. I hope this helps. Shiming the brackets may help some.

What large washer are you referring to? I was told that if you shim the radiator outward, the body parts might not fit correctly. Can you send a picture of the sideview of you radiator assembly?

Mike I sent you an email. I think the problem is your bracket is not right on your grill. You need to loosen the grill to bracket bolts and slide the bracket back so the grill moves out to the front all the way.
