View Full Version : Fitting Side Curtains for Early-Style FFR Soft Top

I stepped outside my comfort zone tonight and drilled a bunch of holes in the tops of my doors to locate the side curtains for my early-style FFR soft top.
It looks like everything turned out alright, so here are a couple of pictures.

Looks like you'll need to put a little more angle on the windshield frame so as to close up the gap w/the front of the window. I have the same top on my car and there is no weatherstripping or seal for the front of the window glass where it meets the windshield sidepost frame.

Will - Actually, what you're seeing in that photo is the side curtain leaning inwards because the ferrules aren't supported in the door skin. I have a nice tight tolerance with the lower frame portion of the side curtain when the door shuts and the leading edge of the lexan is evenly spaced from the windshield (correct angle) and hidden behind the windshield side support.
