Nice! I love the new suit and matching gloves. New shoes too? No snow plow racing for you guys on Sunday?

So some questions:

1. Any set-up changes from last year?
2. Is that a "Barney Purple" suite ?
3. What is the fast lap in the cobra vs. E30?
4. Is the E30 easier to drive?

Very nice drive ...looks like you love that FI curbing !

Tony,

1. 3.08 gears is the only change from last years Nationals setup. I have 550lb front springs, 500lb rear springs, swaybar set to full stiff. I think my camber was around -3deg, caster around +8deg, and 1/16 tow out.

2. That is the Royal Purple race suite they gave me for winning Nats 2012

3. FFR = 2:06.7, rental E30 with me driving 2:20.4

4. E30 brakes baffled me as they were power brakes and had abs. I did not have the feel I have in my car with regards to braking and could not sense tire lockup at all, the other guys around me were out-braking me bigtime. As for the handling of the E30 compared to FFR it rolls a heck of a lot more, but once it takes a set its good. I was pleasantly surprised on how well it actually cornered (well at those speeds FFR would feel way better.) Its hard to tell if it was easier because I am so familiar with my FFR and so not familiar with the rental E30. The other thing was the E30 did not have power steering and that took some time to get used to that. I had Friday test/tune - 3 sessions, saturday practice, quali and race.. not alot of time in the car.

Hi John, THanks for sharing the video. Great driving.

That pass on Lap 2 (I think) of the Corvette (using the pit-out lane) I found to be very interesting!

Best regards, Tom (retired from racing now)

swaybar set to full stiff

How did you do this as I can only set mine on the last set of holes (at the end of the swaybar) so I'm not at MAX. When I attempted to set this late last year nothing would line up.

Tony, I had to bend the threaded part of the hyme at a little angle to get it to line up. Also if you cut the threads of the hyme too much you might need to get new ones..
