Is there any need or benefit to having a rear sway bar on these Mustang rears? I am using a 96 Cobra rear, and noticed that it does not seem to have one. I am not that familiar with this setup and am curious. I have the four link, and aside from maybe a very occasional pass down the strip, she will only be a cruiser.

No, you really won't need one. I have one for track use only - I disconnect it for street driving.

I added one to my 4 link because I went with softer springs and a higher ride height for the running boards and curb gutters in the midwest.
If you stay low and stiff it won't be as important.

Nah, she will be low and stiff...at least that is the plan for now, my kidneys may dictate otherwise but for now, I guess no sway bar. Thanks for info guys!

In reality the kit needs a front bar more that it needs a rear bar! I am very close to offering one as a kit in the next few months that would help ride quality considerably. I have sold many QA 1 shock upgrades with softer springs and much better dampening but a sway bar with the softer springs is the answer to everyones needs! I will also have a rear bar kit for the track day owner.

Good info. Where would one get these softer springs? An I am definitely interested in your sway bar. You have a great reputation on the forum. Do you have a website of your build or products?

i was going to ask if anybody makes front and rear sway bars for the 33,from what understand ,the springs are very high on the 33.so by reducing them and adding a swaybar, you end up with a really nice ride,no kidney transplants, spinal fusions.Anybody heard anything about this? Thanks

Dan Ruth aka Dr. Ruth offers both, softer springs, better shocks and a sway bar kit. PM him.
