I am using the March PS/alternator setup. They also offer the addition of AC. Pretty pricey but I believe the only readily available one on the market? See pics in the PS thread on this forum.

The OE Location for the compressor on the modulars is PS down low. There are no brackets, as the compressor bolts directly to the block to reduce NVH. Unless the '33 kit makes you install the alternator in that location (can't remember if it does or not) then the stock compressor should just bolt on unless there's a frame/clearance issue.

Might want to post this in the '33 section too.

Mark,

Will the stock compressor work with the vintage air? Reason I ask, is I understand that many modern cars have variable pressure pumps that don't work with basic AC setups.

This is what I designed up and machined for my Coyote. It uses the vintage air compressor that is sold with the kit that Whitby sells along with a power steering pump.

I do not know what Fords use a "variable pressure" A/C compressor, but the Ford modular V-8 does not from everything I've researched. Our 4.6 Three-Valve swap in our '68 Mustang is using the stock Ford compressor with an Old Air Products A/C system. I even sent them the manifold assembly and they welded on AN fittings for the custom A/C hoses I'm using.

Many of the Coyote FEAD setups use the Sanden because it is compact, universally used in aftermarket A/C, and most companies feel that your typical builder would need a compressor anyway (as the engine doesn't come with one).
