Did my front end today. I new I'd have an issue torquing the lower crown nut to 125 due to clearance and as you guess I don't have a 15/16 crows foot... But while doing the upper I noticed I could not get to 125. I mean it was tight as hell but I buried the upper cron nut almost past the cotter pin hole and my torque wrench hadn't click yet. I left them there and did the lowers with the spacer and a long wrench... Buried those almost past the hole as well.

How do you get 125 # on these and not got too far?

In the type 65 coupe manual the torque spec is 80-120 lbft.

I am looking at Revision M of the manual. Page 43 says 125 ft-lbs on the lower ball joints. The chart on Page 45 says 80-120 ft lb on lower, it also says 70-90 for the upper ball joint. This is why some of us are confused. You are rcommending the same torque for both ball joints?
