Anyone know where to get custom pieces of diamond plate - powder coated/chromed as well. I'm thinking of putting these pieces on the floor of the two foobes (not sure if it is a good idea, but looked cool). Bummed as these weekend's snow is preventing me to cart test my work.

You can buy the diamond plate already polished at both Lowes and Home Depot. It's easy enough to cut with a band saw (which is how I did ours.) It's a little dirty in this shot, but you'll get the idea.

Ray,

Exactly what I was looking to do. Did you just glue it down? Also, any problems regarding it being slippery?

The drivers side is just dropped in place. I did drill a 1-inch finger hole at the back edge so I can lift it out when needed. The one for the passenger side (don't have the dropped foot box there) has a 2x2-inch square of Velcro to keep it from shifting. It's not slippery at all. The only thing is my wife wants me to powder coat them black and I like the shiny look. They've been a few years now and are still shiny.....

Just another option.....I ordered two "diamond plate look" garage floor tiles for the same purpose. You can't really see any difference when installed, they're light, and much easier to modify to shape. I like mine. You can get either the "chrome/polished" look or black, as I recall. Of course, you could always choose another color/tile design if you preferred.

You mention snow, so I'm guessing you're definitely not in CA. I regularly buy this same polished alum diamond plate at a local metal yard - They have "cut-off" pieces (most are around 2 feet by 4 feet) and they sell it by the pound... I've cut it easily with a Harbor Freight throatless shear (does curves and straight cuts - highly recommended).
