I'm sure this has been answered in some other post but is there a matching FFR carpet available in a retail store? I prefer a matching material rather than have to redo the whole carpet. Thx

Home Depot carries the exact carpet. You can also order it from FFR in bulk.

Ughhh, I spent all weekend on my knees on the concrete garage floor making patterns and cutting & gluing a bunch of this Home Depot stuff to carpet my MkIII trunk. Made more difficult because of Cobra Earl's drop trunk, but it came out OK. NEXT TIME, I'm doing this during the go-cart phase, not 6 years later! My aching knees...

Yo JOhn!

Have you still got black fuzz stuck to your fingers? Working with that stuff and glue is kinda' like being tarred & feathered :p

I'm an expert on spray glue (at least on what you shouldn't do). I'm in the asbestos/industrial hygiene business, and train the abaters (they soon go from Apprentice Abaters to Master Abaters, say out loud). I learned not to let the students use spray glue when teaching plastic sheet application. It gets on the floor and everything else in the training room, plus gets on hands and clothes. And nothing removes it except time. Had one guy get sprayed in the eye, ouch. Safety glasses are your friend.

Jeff, I look like Chewbacca the Ewok this morning in the hand department! Hope it wears off, if not, I'm prying off some skin to get rid of it! Getting the Mk III ready for sale, NEXT build I will do this with the body off.

Bill, how about some pics on how yours came out?

Getting the Mk III ready for sale...

Chewie,
Remember what Bailey & I told ya'---don't give it away!

I'll be back in a few weeks if you need any help (with the car, not peeling the furry hands ;)).

So you're a furry palmed Master Abater?

But some of that cherry flavored hand cleaner from an auto supply store. With just a little rubbing together of your hands it will take all the fuzz away.

Hey John!
I was just there but desperately need to come back---it's been a rough winter up here! My wife and her horses spend 3 months or so in your area every year during the winter show & training season. I was down at New Years when we got her moved in, was back a couple of weeks ago for a visit and will be returning again soon. I always try to make time to meet up with John P. and other Cobra buds while I'm there :)

Jeff,

If you get this way let me know, I'll pay in beer for you to give my build the once over. It was pushing 80 here today, if that helps

If you get this way let me know...

I'll be back in early April to get her moved back home. I've been having to make short quick trips this season but if time allows I'd love to get together and see your project! 80 sounds good---snow predicted here and I'll be outside all day digging & pouring footers before it arrives :(
