A question for those on the east coast. Has anyone done any vintage racing with groups other than the Outlaw Vintage group in NASA Southeast? I was excited to read about the SCCA vintage program only to find out that it doesn’t run on this side of the US. Our cars don’t qualify for SVAR. So what other groups are out there?

I am still planning to run with the FFR Challenge guys when we get together, but also looking for other places to go play and I have found the Vintage guys are a great bunch of people and cleanest racers around. Not to mention that within NASA the only other place I can play is ST2 and in SCCA it’s GT1. Those can be a bit rough-and-tumble, and I would be bringing a plastic spork to a howitzer fight.

So any suggestions?

I should be at CMP those dates, so I look forward to meeting you. Hope to have the 2nd seat installed, find a trailer, and do the HPDE, but we'll see. Either way, I'll be there.

I an interested in any venues to drive the car though, so I was hoping you'd hear something about the East Coast vintage racing options...

There will be Outlaw Vintage at the CMP event and if no other 2013 Spec FFRC's show up I will run with them.

I had a number of small issues crop up with my car. I got them all worked though yesterday, but too late to make it to CMP. And of course the one weekend next month, NASA is even at Road Atlanta, and I have a lacrosse tournament with my son in Asheville NC. I need to check SCCA I guess.

Anyway, I hope the weather cooperated for you all, and hope to see you, somewhere, before the end of summer.

RPM Limiter. It was set at 5800, moved it up to 6200.

Oh, and more NO2.

John has a great race and nice video from this past weekend. We make a cameo at 3:10 as I made my way through the Thunder Roadsters after starting DFL because on no qualifying time (and being late to the grid).
