Looks like the new spec car just misses ST2 and will be in ST1. The old spec easily fits in ST3. TT classes use the same formula.

Super Touring 1 (ST1) = “Adjusted Wt/Hp Ratio” equal to, or greater than, 5.50:1
Super Touring 2 (ST2) = “Adjusted Wt/Hp Ratio” equal to, or greater than, 8.0:1
Super Touring 3 (ST3) = “Adjusted Wt/Hp Ratio” equal to, or greater than, 9.0:1

Anyone doubling TT with the Challenge series?

I am looking at these, as it seems all the west coast cars have performed a disappearing act.

Not sure where all of the new Coupes will be this year.

I think the Challenge car will fall into STR3 or STR 1 with mods.

I am planning on running my new coyote powered competition coupe in TT1/ST1. Endurance racing it will be ES. Also hoping to get in some vintage/Shelby club racing.

It looks like a Spec FFRC can run in ST2 with 40-60 lbs added thanks to a provision and a few mod points.

ST1, ST2, and ST3 Approved Non-Production & Tube-Frame Vehicles
The following vehicles are approved for ST1 and ST2 based on their “Adjusted Wt/Hp Ratio”, with the listed Modification Factors:
Factory Five Roadster (if aero mods, wing, or splitter -0.4 Modification Factor. Note: no Modification Factor for FF Challenge “standard front air dam”—See Appendix A)

So at 2560 and 320 HP we get:
• Size 275 to 250 (DOT approved) = +0.4
• 2650 to 2550 lbs. -0.30
• Net of +.1
Or
So at 2544 and 320 HP we get:
• Size 275 to 250 (DOT approved) = +0.4
• 2550 to 2450 lbs. -0.35
• Net of +.05

Bumping this thread because there are talks about changing the NASA ST series that will play nicely into having the FFRC with upgrades and the Coupe compete in ST vs STR.

If these changes happen, the ST fields could become nicely sized.

I'm already at 2600 so no additional weight needed here ! So does this mean I can get -.5 ?

You can +.4 by running 275's too.
