doing my home work on the very strict massachusetts inspection regs and come to find out as of 2013 all kit cars have to be obd2 compliant. this includes cat convertors and evap fuel emissions. has any one completed a mk4 roadster with full obd2 emissions? was planning on using a ford racing small block but this issue my change my plans to using late model doner car. expecting early april delivery on car so trying to get all issues worked out before hand. thanks cobratech

When you get a chance, PM me your phone number and I will tell you about a way around all the strict laws. Too long to explain on here.

When I built my MkI back in 2000 I fitted all the emissions equipment including Cats and AIR injection. It wasn't that difficult to pull it off the donor and install it on the FFR. Come to find out when I registered the car that I didn't need to do what I did but it really wasn't that difficult using a donor. If you are going with a non donor build then there will be a lot of extra stuff that you will need to source.
