Aluminum Spats on my Mk3

Tonight I spent some time fitting the aluminum spats on 7074. These are probably one of the last sets of spats that Brian, a former vendor here, made a couple of years ago. They originally were very tall and extended up onto the portion of the rear fender that has the flare. I prefer a smaller profile, so I cut about 5" off the tops and recontoured the cut edge for a clean fit. My plan is to install them with small button head allen bolts, using a bit of thick black two-sided tape to seal them to the body. I may also have them covered with 3M clear-bra once I give them a final polishing, just to keep the finish looking decent.
