View Full Version : FF AC / Heater Unit
Just wondering if anyone has pictures of the curent FF heater AC unit installed? Search brings up all sorts of stuff including different brands. Looking specifically for the FF unit.

I had problems with mine and found out FF have a separate installation instructions sheets for the AC unit with pictures. Call them and they will e-mail them to you.

I now have a set of the directions. Looks pretty good. I was worried that you needed to cut the 2" bar, but it does not look like you have to. However, it looks like it sticks out a little below the dash. Anyone have install pics? Comments?

One thing that doesn’t jump out at you in the instructions is you need to trim some off of the lip that bent back on the bottom edge of the dash. I am sorry but I don’t have a picture but it is shown in the instructions if you know what you are looking for.

I did see that in one of the steps. I looked at it a lot because i heard somewhere that you may need to cut the 2x2. As far as the dash goes, I am not too concerned about that because we plan on making a different dash.
Other then that, how does the unit work? is it good?

I put mine in using the supplied roadster instructions and found out when I tried to mount the body that it stuck up too high for the cowl to seat. What I ended up doing was turning the unit upside down which allowed it to sit lower,near the 2" tube; this also solved hose clearance problems in the engine bay. I'll try to post a photo tomorrow.
