I picked up my latest project today. I will finish this car for a customer. Jeff has impressed me with his knowledge of FFR's. This one is different. Why is this one different than any I have seen and I would propose different than any posted on this forum??
Anyone can guess... What do you say?

Just a wild guess: is it a MKIV body on an MKIII chassis? WEK.
Looks like the body is set forward.
Engine EFI upper manifold is under the body at the rear of the engine bay opening.
Front wheel looks like it is set correctly into the wheel well but the rear wheel is back a bit.
The frame has been stretched?
It looks like the body is set on the cockpit area correctly. Rear of door opening lines up with frame and door hinge on far side looks lined up with the door opening. Still:confused:
The engine has been mounted back toward the cockpit.

I'll take that challenge! Skullandbones got it first though; Mk4 body on earlier chassis.
The first thing that jumps out is the wonky body position but that's too easy. If the front X member was visible that would be a giveaway but I can't see it, however there are a couple of clues visible in the pics that tag the chassis as something other than a Mk4. In the first photo the you can see that the cut at the ends of the rear bulkhead is vertical; on a Mk4 that cut begins farther to the outside and angles inward from the top. In the second photo we can see that the inner seatbelt tab is much farther rearward than the outer; on a Mk4 they are in line.
What'd I win Ron? :p

The reason I thought it might be the chassis is the gas tank showing. I may be wrong but I thought FFR fixed that with a built in butt mod with the MKIV. Thanks, WEK.

Didn't see this when I answered on the other forum last night: Mk3.1, chassis and body (red gelcoat instead of black). Do I win again???:p
