Ok guys, looking for some help from others that may have done this before.

I have a mate in NZ that ships containers from LA to New Zealand a few times a year. So as I keep exploring ways to pull of getting an 818 one of the key issues is shipping costs.

Can anyone tell me roughly how much it would be to ship this car to L.A? Also what size the containers are roughly?

any help is appreciated thanks...

I am a car dealer of sorts, I will be going to the Manheim Auction on Tuesday. They do export shipping all over the world. Tell me the port of exit and port of entry I will find out if they will ship just the F5r crate or does it need to be a completed car. Will the crate be the 818 only or will you try to get donor parts in their too. I know some of the shipping cost is calculated by weight. They could get the crate from F5R and take care of the rest

It costs $1900 to ship my complete Type 65 to LA last year via Stewart Transport.

It cost me about £3500 GBP from the east coast USA to England.

My advice - try and get it included in someone else's container. ie. put your crate in with someone else's stuff - shipping companies can do that. Getting your own container is going to be expensive.

There is no cheap answer I am afraid.

England to New Zealand is about £12,000 GBP
