Karen Salvaggio is the first person on the left and JoAnn is the second person on the right.

This month’s issue of SEMA Magazine profiles a really great program put together through SEMA whereby sponsor companies and a fantastic team of all women built a stunning Mustang project car that debuted at the 2012 SEMA Show in the Ford Racing booth. Our very own Karen Salvaggio was one of team leaders on the build, as was custom painter JoAnn Bortles of Crazy Horse Custom Paint (JoAnn painted Factory Five President Dave Smith’s project Hot Rod which was featured on MuscleCar TV).

Congratulations Ladies-

Looks like you all did a wonderful job, and for a terrific cause. What a terrific car that will look great in any garage.

It looks like you literally modified every piece of the original, and just made it awesome!!

Do you suppose you ladies could come help me with my build? ;-o) Again congratulations!!

Regards,

Steve

Thanks so much for the awesome post Dave! JoAnn and I had an amazing time working on the car, and we were all very pleased to raise so much money for deserving students through the SEMA Scholarship fund.

Steve...Thanks also for the kind words.......Doug Evans (Source Interlink) and the guys at Hot Rod Magazine opened up their all-too-cool garage at magazine headquarters for us to build the car. Talk about a man cave (cool woman cave too!).....22 feet of organized Snap On tool boxes with every power tool a mechanic could ever want!....We're up for a visit when you're ready! :)

Karen-

My shop in no way measures up to what you just experienced, but if you ladies can produce results that are even close to what you did in the build you all worked on, then you and JoeAnn may just have to move-in for a few weeks while we work our way through the build!! I KNOW I am nowhere near as talented as you two ladies, but would love to have your abilities here with me!! I won't even make you all sleep in the garage, we have two empty beds -- now that my boys have left for school, and you can sleep there.

Again, my congratulations on the great build, and Karen, good luck racing this year. You and JoeAnn keep kicking buttocks!!

Regards,

Steve
