1. I have a 2006 WRX transmission which accepts splined male drive shafts (female splined sockets in transmission).
2. I intend installing an OBX LSD which will result in my transmission having male splined stubs, requiring drive shafts with female splined ends. (Like 2005 and older)
Question:
When it is time to specify details for my 818 kit, will this be any problem? (since the rest of my donor parts will be 2006)
Thanks

This was asked in a 818 post a while back. The kit will come with custom driveshafts. I am not a FFR tech but I asked this before and a tech gave the previous answer.

Thanks, and sorry if it is in fact a duplication.
I read the previous post and that answered the qustion of male/femal or female/male but i read that in association with using a 2005 or earlier donor complete vs a 2006 and later complete.
My intetrest is in a hybrid 2006 with all 2006 parts, but with 2005 type inboard splines. i.e are there any hub differences to be taken into account, or whatever....which I don't know. And I'd rather ask now (even if it is a dumb or ignorrant or duplicated question) before I open the transmission and install the LSD, and then find out later I overlooked something, and have to take it apart again.
