Is anyone familiar with installation of the modified rear control arms for IRS from Forte?
I had my control arms modified for easier alignment, but am not sure if I need to do anything special with the spacers for bolting the control arms to the frame. I'm assuming I should evenly distribute spacers to center the mounts and put in as many spacers as it takes for a snug fit. I just want to confirm that I'm on the right track.
Thanks

By moving the spacers around, you can move the arms fore and aft, to center the hub in the well. And you can't really do that until the body is on. I started with the spacers evenly distributed. After the body was mounted, I found that to be pretty accurate and didn't change the spacers. I had to do the alignment a few times until I was happy with it.

That's without the modified arms, isn't it? The modification is supposed to eliminate the need to adjust the spacers to do the alignment

You are still going to have to change the spacers on the angled arm unless you got it really close to start with. As you adjust the alignment that arm will move in relation to the slot. I left those spacers out on that arm until the alignment was done and then made them to fit after. The straight arm and the upper arm are fine.

I like to put washers in the rear LCA mount and none at all in the front while i am working on the alignment. Once alignment is complete then I do washers in the front mount.
