Transmission mount for Tremec TKO 600 (roadster)

Hello,

I am installing our transmission and I am wondering if installing the mount
on the other side of what specified in the manual is correct and still enough
strong on that side ?

if I put the mount on the "correct" side specified in the manual, the transmission
is too lower and touch the big transversal tube.

right now on the side I put it, there is approximatly 1/8" between the big tranversal tube and the transmission, I think it's too low but what I have to do ? can I shim it with some washers ? I know the trans is gonna vibrate and it sure that 1/8" is not enough...

Usually the TKO transmissions need spacers in between the frame mount and the poly trans mount. The way you have it mounted in your picture is fine, but like you said I would space it up some more.
