Who's going? I know attendance was down last year but only because of the rain. The economy can't affect the spirits of Factory Five owners like some were saying! It's just not possible!
Time to Reserve your vacation time now!
Fun Under the Sun 2013!
The Association of Handcrafted Automobiles is honored to host the 34th Annual "Fun Under the Sun" Handcrafted Automobile Show" on April 13th of 2013 at the fabulous Fairplex in Pomona. We will once again be holding our show in front of the world famous Wally Parks NHRA Motorsports Museum.
Plan on sticking around Sunday for the Pomona Automotive Swapmeet which has beena tradition in Southern California for over 25 years.
Make plans now for the second weekend in April to come and see the largest gathering of Manufacturers and Handcrafted cars -all types and marques- on the West Coast.
Registration material will be sent out early January to past participants and posted here in case you're new to the show, or we've just lost your address.

I usually go. I think the Ole Chicken Farmer's 50th Anniversary sellabration, at the same location, that followed a week or two later affected attendance more than the threat of rain.

I hope to be by to visit but my car is not drivable yet. Found a link from the Fairplex: Association of Handcrafted Automobiles presents its 34th Annual “Fun Under the Sun” handcrafted auto show" (http://www.fairplex.com/fp/events/view_event.aspx?EventId=3226&EventName=34th_Annual_Handcrafted_Auto_S) Bill

You'd think these guys would advertise to get a bigger turnout! As it is, it's not that visible. I'm sure we're representing with customers this year, but Dave has no plans to officially send anyone out to the event like we did last year. Then again, it may happen last minute. :)

They just don't have the budget Erik. Dean and the guy's at AHA are all volunteers and almost every dime they make goes into pulling off that amazing show. I wish more people would see what a tremendous job that whole crew do to put on a one of a kind show like "Fun Under the Sun". Guys used to complain about the venue over at Knotts Berry Farm in the parking lot as an excuse. What is the excuse now, it's too far away, too cool and peaceful under all of those trees? Oh, I know, all those trees are going to contribute to bird droppings on the cars. That's one thing this guy won't have to worry about for a while.

It is a great show, don't get me wrong. What I guess I'm trying to say is at least hit the forums with some posts! But I don't think they are as internet savvy as well. I wish I could go this year. Have fun guys!

You know what Erik, you are correct. I am going to put in a call to Dean Hornbacher over at AHA and see if I can get involved and become one of their members. Maybe I can be liaison between AHA and the forums. Or their "go to internet, get the info out guy". Maybe you can get involved with them as well. We could be Team FFR. With the introduction of the 818 this year, next years AHA show has to have an 818 in attendance.

Congrats to Frank! He won best Roadster under 40K! I swear none of us had anything to do with it. It's purely spectator votes! Good seeing all you guys again.
