Has anyone installed an LS3 into a 33' using the standard a/c pump. If so, did you encounter any clearance issues. Where did you end up mounting the alternator.

I see there are no replies yet. Have you figured this out yet? I will be installing an LS3 in a 33HR as well ( already have the engine, kit to arrive mid Feb). I will need a drive for alternator and water pump only though.

Not yet. I'm still waiting on FFR to send me my back order engine mounts so I can fit the engine for the first time. Will update my post as I go.

I ended up ordering an alternator, pulley's and belt from "Water Thunder Performance" http://www.waterthunder.com/parts.aspx?p=electrical. So no AC. Its pretty clean looking. However, I did have to cut an unsed mounting boss on the alternator housing. It was hitting the mounting bracket for the upper control arm. A hack saw, a little elbow grease and a file to clean it up worked nicely. See pics.

I haven't yet got to the A/C setup yet, but fit a CTS-V alternator low with the same process you have done with yours. I just ordered the alternator, CTS-V alternator bracket, tensioner, and a spare ribbed pulley separately. Instead of mounting the idler high, I put it on the upper mounting bolt for the bracket and got an appropriate length belt from the local autoparts store.
