Not so sure if it is right on a GTM, though I really like the look.

Seeing the color is not gloss and not many production cars have this finish (certianly not mainstream ones). The goal of building the GTM right is to make it look like it is a production car, will this paint sceme scream "non-production"?

HUH?

Go with your gut feelings on the color. Keep looking at cars on the road to see what color's stand out for you. Once you pick a color, sit on it for a few weeks, even months and see if you feel as good about the color as you did when your first picked it.

Maybe he wasn't being clear enough. Most all "production" or OEM cars have shiny paint. He is trying to say that he thinks non-shiny paint make the car look like a kit car instead of a "regular" production car.

I tend to agree. The flat black schemes scream primered kit car to me.

On a Ferrari or Lambo? OK. Everybody knows these cars are ultra high end super cars already, but for a car few even know anything about? Just my persoanl opinion, but I would stay away from the flat schemes on a GTM.

I think a lot of it has to do with prep (bodywork). You could have a high gloss finish that stinks of kit car too.

I think this (the color in the original post) would be a great.

Seems like satin / flat worked on a prototype...granted probably a 10 footer, but they probably didn't put a lot into it.

Well, there ya go. To each his own.

I would have posted that pic if I had it to demonstrate my POV, so I guess it truly is in the eye of the beholder. :)
