On the Mark IV, what options do I have to widen the Driver's Side Foot Box?

Not much on the MkIV, however check this link http://thefactoryfiveforum.com/showthread.php?4060-Footbox-Driver-side-gas-pedal-build-out&highlight=footbox. Lots of good ideas. I did Jeff's mod - not as pretty as his, but added a few inches.

The LH side of the Mk4 DS footbox is basically maxed out. None of the dead pedal bumpouts (like the one from Dark Water) will fit in the Mk4. However, the RH side can be expanded like explained in the link above. Just ignore the posts in the thread about the LH side. I'm not 100% sure of the advantage of this mod since I kind of like my foot resting against the footbox side while operating the accelerator. But perhaps it has other advantages I'm not thinking of. In general, while I've only mocked things up so far, the DS footbox in the Mk4 is a nice improvement over my Mk3, FWIW.
There is a mod available to make the Mk4 PS footbox larger if you're using a SBF. Did this one myself a couple months ago on my Mk4 build. http://www.ffcars.com/forums/17-factory-five-roadsters/294483-passenger-footbox-extension.html
