Installed heatshields over the sidepipes, to prevent leg burns when exiting. Also have a snapless tonneau cockpit cover to provide weatherproofing, keeping the hot sun and prying eyes from the interior, when parked . Jim

You'll have to be careful not to burn your finger tips when attaching that cover to those pipes. I like the snapless idea though.

I have always liked that snapless tonneau cover. In fact, the snaps have always hept me from getting a cover, because I did not want to disfigure the clean lines of the car. I may have to look into this further. Nice car, Jim.

Where do you find your snapless tonneau cockpit ? Could you put more pictures of it on the forum ? Very good idea !
What model of heatshields do you install ? Cost ?

The tonneau cover $175.00 was from Kay & Phillip Deal "Mariah" member id---wpdeal@gmail.com . The heat shields $265.00 were from " Drummermike" member id.906907 Jim

I don't have a great picture of Kay and Phillip's cover but mine goes on every time I park and walk away from the car. In 4,000 miles I'll bet it has gone on and off several hundred times. It provides some real security (out of sight out of mind) and helps keep the interior cleaner. Takes me less than a minute to put it on or take it off. Stores easily in the trunk or, I normally keep mine along the passenger side door (rolled up).
