Should the overflow radiator reservoir tank's height matter?
I'm also reading you do not need to offset the radiator 5/8"

Not really. As the engine is cooling, it should draw water back into the system. If it's too low, it will have some trouble doing that. But you don't need to be real concerned about it.
Not anymore. The original purpose of that was to allow room for the filler neck on the donor radiator. I don't think that's been an issue since the MII.

Hi,
I make a degas tank that mounts in the highest point in the cooling system. It gives a point for the coolant to fill and collect before filling the upper radiator hose..
I'll post a picture tomorrow.
