View Full Version : Suggestions for where to buy serrated grommeting for around shoulder belts holes?

The manual says to use the "serrated grommeting from the electrical assembly to cover the edge where the harness passes through".
the only thing I could find was a piece about 5" long in the box. Not enough to use for the shoulder belts or the other electrical pass-thrus.
I'd like to buy about 2' and have enough for several projects.
I checked Radio Shack and Home Depot last night and couldn't find any.
Does any have a suggestion?
Thanks!

Consider these: http://www.**********accessories.com/catalog/product_info.php?cPath=48&products_id=228
They're what most cars I see use. Probably easier to install and not that much more expensive.

Mike Everson has some nice dress up ones, but it might not give all the protection of pass through grommets. FWIW, you can find pretty much all types of rubber grommets at a decent hardware store, that's where I got all of mine for my electrical.

You can get it from FFR. Some came with the kit and it has a part number on one of the parts pages - I think in the first few pages with electrical components. I bought 5 or 6 feet from them - very inexpensive and obviously matches what comes with the kit.
The edge of the aluminum plate there the belt goes through is both thin and sharp so I would not recommend to use thin serrated grommeting, the belt will defects.... There are several reasons to choose the bezels from Finish Line, this is one!

I plan to install the Finish Line bezels when I put the carpet in, but for go-kart, I installed the edging I got from Pegasus Racing, I bought plenty, so I'll install it around some other areas as well. I found that it helps to heat it up with a heat gun a little bit to soften it up. (I over heated the first piece and it really melted).
