Hey guys, easy one for you, the trunk opening on the MKIII is a bit rough. I've seen a few pictures with bulb seal that fits over the edge of the rough opening. I found a roll of what looks like the right stuff, part # is 13841. It looks a little small to me, but what is really throwing me is the description of 'Aluminum-Trunk Seal on Trim'. Maybe that just means it can be used on aluminum and on the trunk???

Scott,
The 13841 is the correct trim for the trunk. It is designed to fit over a 1/8" thick flange so some sanding of the inside surface of the body might be needed in spots to get it to fit perfect. The aluminum in the description is the material the trim is made from in this case, rubber over an aluminum channel.

Jim, thank you sir. The answer on the description was my second thought :-)

You going to be on tonight?

Sorry I missed racing last night! I was having a VERY good time... ;) I will try to get on and race again soon. I don't have any shows booked this month.

Brian, I was saying last night you need to get a show booked for the Friday before the Open House. It will be the coolest club in town for at least one night with dozens of FFR's parked out front :-)

That is a great idea! I will see if I can book a show in town that day. I know some people, and they like it when there are people at their club!
