Mk4,

Take a look at this thread... http://thefactoryfiveforum.com/showthread.php?8121-Donor-prices-paid

I have been watching Copart and IAA auctions for salvage.. It depends upon what you are looking for... the average is about $3,200

is there anything special you have to do to be able to bid on auction cars? do you have to be some special dealer or something or can anyone just go and register i noticed the large amount of wrx's for sale on the IAA auctions was wondering if i would have to do something special to get in on that

I have not used a broker... but expecct I would. here is a list at the IAA site:

https://www.iaai.com/Services/BrokerSearch.aspx

If you look at USA site.. they say they will bid for you... no registration fee... $150 transaction fee .. they will arrange for shipping etc. They work with Copart and IAA .. plus other auctions.

If you do this, make sure their terms meet your needs & leave yourself enough time to get set up to bid on the car you want.
