I just wanted to know if other tubular control arms for mustangs like Maximum motorsports or Griggs will work on the MK4?

No, they do not. The stock Mustang uses a strut suspension, with the spring and shock attached to the top of the spindle. The FFR mounts the shock to the lower control arm.

Aftermarket Mustang arms do not have provisions for the shock mount. And there is some question bout their overall strength for the application if you did add the cross mount.

Bob, I think he's maybe referring to the rear control arms, as many Mustang vendors offer a rear tubular arm.

If indeed that's what the OP is asking, then yes, as long as you get the Fox length control arms for the rear, they'll work. Many have used adjustable uppers and tubular lowers on four-link based FFRs. Matter of fact (dating myself here), FFR used to sell their tubular arms in Mustang ads to Mustang owners! LOL

HTH...

I remember meeting Dave back in '95 when they first started the company and were advertising in Super Ford magazine! That's when I first toyed with the idea of a build (though the plan was an all-donor Mk 1 way back then). My how time changes/flies!

Hope all is well Mark!
