First. Hello!

Visited the Factory today and took the tour. Great group of people working there and they absolutly know their stuff. And a quick thanks to Jason who let my father and I jump in on a tour. Got our pre-order in about a week ago... the wait game begins.

I am right next door in Norton. I have built 30+ FFR cars. I currently have a Cobra and a Daytona coupe that I am building. I am also on the pre order list and already have my donor. You should come by some time and see my builds.

Mike, I'll be taking you up on that. I believe you already met my dad when he stopped by on his bike ride.

He also mentioned that you were looking for a set of struts/springs (I think) for a wrx?

Welcome 508WRX. You won't be a FFR Noob for long. Once you get the fever and build your own, there is no cure. :) I haven't taken the plunge on the 818 yet, but I am looking for a donor (hint, hint). Just hope the wife doesn't read this post.

this is the reason why I'm using my daily driver as the donor.

I've gone to a meet at AJW once before. I had a negative experience with a part I bought off one of the guys who work(ed?) there. I'm over it now.

Man, there are a boatload of great 2002 through 2007 Subaru Impreza's available in Calgary(or Alberta)! The '05 that I found was in such good shape, I may have to find another one to use as the donor! I can't tear apart a perfectly good Sube!

One of the reasons there are Cheap Subarus to be had in Calgary is because of the nasty hailstorm we had late last summer. Lots of dealers had cars sitting on their lots, and they really got hammered. Many would make good daily drivers / donors if you don't mind a skin like a reptile!

Wasn't meaning it sarcastically. Already have a donor lined up! But I do like those pictures you put up!

Dave: saw your PM. that is great price for the car, though i am also dealing with lack of space at the moment. Mind you I still have a good year before purchase so I am in no major rush.

Dude, post some links or something. I would love to see how much. I'd have no problem using a hail damaged one as a DD while waiting for the 818...

Here you go, a few links for potential donors or daily drivers until we're ready to start the teardowns:

These are just a few samples in Calgary. Maybe we need a new thread to source these donors.
