Wanted to post some products that may be helpful to current and future GTM builders. These are all things I developed during the build process to refine the car a bit or add certain accessories.

GTM Seat Track brackets:

These brackets allow you to install adjustable seat track brackets in your GTM allowing the seat to stay flat on the floor allowing for maximum headroom. They are made of 6061 Aluminum and CNC cut and tumbled for a nice satin finish. (seat tracks not included, but available from FFR or Jegs) $40 + 6 shipping

Door Limiter Kit:

http://gtmbuild.com/parts.5.jpg

The first approx 200 GTM kits has no way to limit door swing travel, and opening the door to far would allow the door to make contact with the body and cause damage to the painted. This kit is made of Billet 6061 Aluminum and offers a wide range of adjustment to get the perfect amount of door swing and its pretty cool looking also! Compete, and includes Stainless Hardware. Easy to install on a completed car, or during the build. $110 + 6 shipping

Toyota Electric Power steering pump mount:

This mount allows one to adapt the Toyota pump eeeny (forum member and GTM builder) sourced. I’ve run this on my car and it worked really well. eeeny also developed a controller that allows you to tune the boost of the pump based on vehicle speed which Mike Holland(crash) may be selling. One note about the pump pressure. It was my experience that running the pump near full speed kept the steering the most responsive with reduced lag. $40 + 6 shipping

CNC Oil Bypass

Replace the stock pieces with a CNC Billet bypass plate that’s been engineered for better clearance, smoother flow and trick looks. It features a beautiful scalloped top and recess. In addition, the bypass channel is radiused for smoother oil flow and designed to work with the stock GM Gasket. $36 + 6 shipping

AC Hard Line Support

http://gtmbuild.com/parts/ac-line-brace/images/IMG_4387a.jpg

Over the first year or so of driving the car, I had found my .5" solid line going into the AC unit that is connected to the somewhat flexible lines has been bending over time. I would straighten it out, but it would get bent back.

The other day, I found the hard line bent over quite a bit where it goes into the firewall. The soft lines are pretty inflexible and put pressure on these hard lines. I was really concerned that if this continued to happen, the line would shear off or split open where it goes into the AC unit. Having to remove the AC unit would be a huge and expensive job.

I designed up and machined a bracket to hold the tubes parallel. This bracket can be installed on the lines as shown in the picture, or up near the firewall. $40 + 6 shipping

As an FYI, I may not have parts made. I do this in my spare time, and lower on the priority list of life so delivery can take up to 4-6 weeks depending on the part and it may require a couple orders before I'll make a run, if I have materials and my personal obligations.. etc, so please be patient and plan accordingly.

Thanks,

David

I use the seat brackets in all of my builds.....but not with the seat tracks. Use 2 at the front of the seat and 2 at the rear of the seat to mount them straight into the sides of the fg seat and bolt them solid to the floor. They work great!

I also use the door stops on all of my builds. Very well thought out system and can easily be installed even if you car is already finished and painted.

Hey Dave I like your solution for the power steering pump mount. After spending a few hours fabricating and welding brackets to make the pump fit, I think your solution is quick, easy, and clean. Its worth more than 40 bucks in time saved for sure.

Thanks kabacj... appreciate it. :)

BTW, the folks that have PM's me about the AC line support. I have 5 that are almost complete and that should cover those who have asked for one.. If I need to make some more I will.

Thanks! David

Just to let you know, eeeny says control boards are almost done, and your other parts, kaloper, went out this morning! :)

Received my seat brackets and A/C hardline brackets yesterday. As expected, the quality is top notch. I can tell you that if I contracted a local machinist to make these parts it would cost a whole lot more than what David charges.

Crash...Thanks for the control board status and for the parts!

David...What type of fasteners did you use to attach the "long" pump bracket to the chassis?
