Will there be a classification for the 818 to race in separately, or will they be lumped in by weight/hp ratings, or????'

How soon are the 818's due to ship?

With the right effort, I see these cars as a great, relatively inexpensive way to get into racing. HP to weight ration should make them fast and the handling I expect should make them very competitive. Should be a kick in the butt to run around a track. Should be cheaper than the Spec roadster and approximately as fast or faster depending on the power plant used....

Welcome to the forum Bob.....NASA is making some changes to its Super Touring classes in 2013, and from Jim's graphics on the 818R, it looks like he's thinking it would be in STR-3:

If you want to read nine pages (currently) of racer feedback on the changes (caution, be prepared for acronym soup):

Look into Formula 500 or karting.

I also started this thread over there a while back...clear as mud. I wouldn't count on any solid decisions until they have some on track data to evaluate. So, everyone needs to sandbag early on.

There's always TT - a spot for every car.
