Backed the car out late today so I could do some work in the garage. Found a 14-inch wide puddle of brake fluid under the right-front wheel. Checked the brake lines....all dry. Didn't have time today to pull the wheel and might not tomorrow either. Hoping that it's something simple. I'm still running the donor calipers from the '93 5.0 so at the worst, I just change calipers (both since if one went, how far behind is the other?) Won't need to buy new pads (all ready have two sets.)

Really can't complain. Once I got the bugs worked out, I haven't had any trouble for almost 5500 miles.

Maybe my brother did it. When we were teenagers my brother would pour oil (or antifreeze or brake fluid) under my car and I'd spend days trying to find the leak.
Or, hopefully you've got just a loose bleeder.

Okay, found a pin hole in the braided brake hose (looks like it got pinched in the coil spring or abraded either on the upper "A" arm or against its self) but of course, no one has one in stock. On top of that, I can't get the flare nut loose and found that the rivets holding the bracket have broken as well. So, 1-800 Summit Racing for some new Russell lines, penetrating oil on the connections until the rescue package arrives and then fix....

Glad it wasn't anything major.

Ray-

Glad you found it before you entered into a tight corner a little hot, and found yourself out of brake fluid. Now that would have been much worse. Good luck with the repair, and thank goodness for clean garage floors!

And, it sounds like the brake fluid did not damage the paint on your wheel or your floor. When a caliper banjo bolt leaked the brake fluid removed streaks of paint from my Halibrand wheel. I'm glad it's just a line.

Hi, Ray. Missed you in Huntington Beach but we did see your wife. I've driven my car a few times now and am trying to work a few kinks out.
