I'm still on it, but it is a company in the UK. So not an easy contact. It is a unit that they tested and don't want.
I left a message at Mendeola to see what they felt about the box, they havn't got back to me yet.

They contacted me as well, something didn't feel right so I pulled back. 5 total posts, all bout one of their posts were the for sale thread they started. Out of country didnt give me the warm fuzzier either. They could be 100% legit, just too many red flags....just check and double check. Sorry to the seller if I am wrong.

UK?

The shipping will likely be enough to make ordering from Mendeola a better deal. Not to mention the peice-of-mind you'll have.

Thats why I didn't pull the trigger, also the unknown, from a far away land.

Hi everyone

This is a transaxle we bought new from Ian, he posted the ratios a little earlier in the thread
Ian is familiar with us and will tell you we're reputable people, haven't posted here before, don't own an FF product

Your purchasing from a company not an individual, Zcars in the UK with an phenomenal repuation
Shipping from the UK $300-500 depending on your location and the speed you want, not a big deal

The trans was tested in our cars and its just a little too big a couple hundred miles max, its pristine not even broken in yet
We'll circle back to Ian for what we need for our application but this isn't it
Additionally for sale we have the Mendeola shifter, an seriouslly upgraded clutch and a bell housing extension for the clutch if desired, also for sale is a spare case which is great for mock-ups

1st $7k takes the transaxle is a phenomenal deal
contact simon at sales@zcars.org.uk or call 011 44 1964 527725, bear in mind the UK 5 hours ahead of EST

I've purchased from Zcars. I purchased a 3 cell ISIS power cell and rflink kit off them via Ebay last month. They delivered and everything was there. I thought they were reasonable people to work with.

I'm out. I put deposit on a new one.

My thoughts are if you want to sell it, send the box to Mendeola have them open it and let them give it their blessing.

It would sell in a day.

considering what it's attached to, (more than 138 horses more than what that trans is rated for) you might have been better not showing that pic.

Good to know, but an ISIS and a transaxle are very different items.

its a great pic, this assembly was specially developed for us by mendeola for this application including an LS9 bellhouse extension and different clutch they built for us.
our LS9 makes almost 700 crank hp with pully and headers, box didnt miss a tick, mendeola makes a great product and highly reccomend to buy from mendeola rather than porsche units etc, these folks make vitually unbreakable boxes

"virtually" but they come with a torque rating, that you exeeded by 200 ft. lbs.

again this is a sample tansaxle developed by mike mendeola specifically for the LS9 and its smaller cousins, they make a terrific product and this represents great value
pls check ebay if you wish to bid as it will be going up at the new lower price, please direct communication there as i don't really check this board
thank you

Mendeola Transaxles, can you weigh in here? So this is the Stage I, are there any other differences, aside from the 3.55 R&P and the limited slip option? Do all the specs listed below apply to this box, or does it have some upgrades in it that Mendeola helped spec out for this LS9?

SDR-5 Stage I - is the entry level synchronized gear box for the street.
Hp rated to 450/ torque rated to 375.
The Gear sets in this unit is a hob cut gear similar to most production cars.
The current forward gear ratios are based around a 4.11 spiral bevel ring & pinion gear.
The manual synchronized 1st- 5th gear ratios are:
1st-2.21 2nd-1.50 3rd-1.14 4th-.89 5th-.70

These forward gears are actuated by single cone brass synchronizer rings.
The SDR-5 stage I - comes with an open differential as a standard.
There is the option for a limited slip differential based around the adjustable clutch pack style Dana 44 LSD unit.
All the current SDR-5 units utilize a bellhousing for the 10.5" or 11" flywheel and clutch system.
The starter for the SDR-5 units are a gear reduction Hi-torque model.
