818 Finish

Hi,

I can't see this question having been posted before - but was the gorgeous red 818 at SEMA painted, or is that the level of finish we can expect out of the mold?

Pretty sure its painted. Its a fiberglass body right now.

I'm thinking it's the top right corner color. A little too pink for my taste, but definitely a gorgeous finish.

My favorite is that burnt orange. Couple that with some deep black accenting, or striping of some sort and that would look mean.

From what Dave Smith said in an earlier post, they don't quite have the "no-paint" material quite ready yet.

yup that's exactly what I want to do. Hopefully they offer that color once the kit is released and not have to get it painted

It's a valiant attempt if quite lacking in overall execution. I wanted to make the rims black, but that turned out to be way out of the scope of my ability.
