Compare this:

And then look at this...
12617
For a car that hasn't yet entered production I'd say the 818 is doing pretty good for itself.... Wouldn't you agree?

I bet the thread count will go past the other forums like crazy. There will be volume like there never has been before. Unless the builders are so busy they can't type and work at the same time (sure!) WEK.

Skullandbones, what is WEK? your initials or something?
I have an idea one the activity of this forum vs the roadster forum. I think the roadster is most commonly purchased by middle-aged and older guys like my father.(who is not particularly internet savvy) I think the 818 is very appealing to guys my age (mid 20's) who are generally internet addicted, and very active with forums.

^^^Yep, you're probably right about the internet savvy except there are a lot of engineer types who embrace technology. Personally, I only use the tools as much as I need. But I think more guys my age will be building the 818 because it is just too cool looking and exotic like a GTM but without the astronomical cost. I know two already that are standing in line. WEK are my initials but it's also a ploy to make you guys think it means something else so it slows you down so I can get a head start typing. Ha! WEK.

And most of the Roadster guys are still over on the other site while basically all of the 818 group is supporting this site

Or everyone who's bought a roadster is busy building or driving it. :)

Yes. While "the other site" is currently (and IMHO will likely remain) the go-to resource for roadsters, Coupes, GTMs and 33s this site will most definitely be the home of 818 information and builders. There is virtually no 818 traffic "over there".
Jeff
Yes some info about the 818 trickles on the other site once in à while, but the traction those threads get is nowhere near this site's

Exactly. Granted, the roadster has been around for many years. But on the "go-to resource" for all other FFR cars, as Jeff correctly called it, it has more posts in a few hours than the 818 has to date:
Totals to date:
Roadster related: Threads: 64,489 Posts: 698,612
818 related*: Threads: 15 Posts: 55
*The earliest 818 related post I found was on 9/9/11

Guys, there is growing traffic on this site relating to the other FFR cars. We are backed by FFR. We have more tools to help with the build (Blogs, direct link tech support forum, featured threads wiki, etc). We have ownership that actually CARES about the community. We're not bombarding viewers with Amazon.com and other non-relevant ads. We are working hard to promote and protect small vendors and the cottage industry surrounding FFR.
I really feel that this community is on the rise, and will continue to be.
